"Great job kid," Olivia told the trainer after his win.
He handled his Pokemon well. She was intrigued. She rushed toward the trainer.
"You," she stared him in the face. She was inches from his brow, her gaze burrowing into his eyes.
"You're gonna battle me, after this. My gym."
She moved away.
"Yeah, you're not getting out of this."
She dashed away, calling over her shoulder. "Go find Kurtis! I think I heard him shouting!"
Away she went, searching the other rooms on the floor.
I could swear Giulia's office is on the seventh floor.

Marcus blinked, a bit taken aback by Olivia's intensity after his battle. "Alright," he said, taking the challenge as flattery, and smiling ever so slightly.
He laughed to himself and picked up the key the guard had dropped.
Marcus ran down the hallway to find the source of the shouting. "Hey! Kurtis, keep shouting!"

"I'm in here!" he thought he had heard a battle, and maybe his friends.
Kurtis grabbed his belt, beating the buckle loudly on the cell door.
"Marco!"

Giulia smiled, but her eye twitched again.
"I accept your surrender, Aden Hayes," she spoke loudly. Sirens were approaching in the distance. The police were on their way.
She pulled out her PokeGear, thumbing a quick text.
Lisa, Haven Corp compromised by Aden. Secure Kurtis at all costs.
She closed the PokeGear, turning back to Aden.
"Return your Arcanine, come with me, and I'll make sure your cooperation is noted in the investigation."

Aden let out a sigh and shook his head, glancing around at the people present.
"I'm sorry Ms. Rossi. You may be the Lialta League Champion, but you are not an officer of the law. I will gladly go with the proper authorities once they get here. After all, through the proper channels the real criminal should be determined, I think." He flashed a smile at her and turned to lean up against his Arcanine. He would not go with Giulia, and if she tried to force it the people may in fact see her true colors.
It was during their exchange that a blur of green and white appeared next to Aden and Flare. The Gardevoir looked between everyone here for only a moment before closing her eyes to use teleport again - this time with the flame trainer and his fire dog in tow. Aden didn't even have time to protest.
Exit Aden

"Starmie, Ice Beam," Olivia pointed at the door. The Pokemon shot a beam of ice without hesitation, freezing the handle and lock mechanisms.
Olivia kicked the door open with precision only experience could bring. The office was large, brightly lit, and mostly void of furniture. She moved for the desk, quickly rummaging through the drawers.
One drawer stuck, and Starmie froze the lock on it as well. There's no need to hide that we were here,[/b] Olivia smiled as she broke open the drawer.
There, neatly arranged, sat six various Pokeballs.
"I bet I know who these belong to," Olivia said to her Starmie. "And what's this?"
The memory card looked innocent enough, but Olivia's curiousity prompted her to slide the card into her PokeGear.
It was map, and several locations where highlighted on the screen. The one on Mt. Suvi and two of the four on Terna City were green. The others were red, and dispersed around Lialta.
That's when the shape caught her eye. In the window, a large bird Pokemon was approaching rather quickly.
It only took a few moments for Olivia to recognize the Elite Four member clutching the Pidgeot's back.
Mega Pidgeot swooped up, it underside inches from the window, and as she ran out of the office, Olivia swore she heard some boots stomp on the roof.
"You better have Kurtis, cause I think it's time to get out of here!" she shouted to Marcus.

"Ludicolo!" called Marcus, running to the room, grinning at the twin pun of making his name more Lialtan and referencing the game of blind hide-and-seek.
The hunter rounded a corner through a doorway, coming upon the room that Kurtis's cell was in. "Fuck, and she's getting away with this? This is crazy. Who would believe that these are for detaining trespassers for the police?" As he ranted, Marcus unlocked Kurtis's cell. "Olivia's probably looking for a way out. Or stealing Guilia's most expensive amenities. Lets go get your Poke-" Olivia's voice interrupted him. "Yeah? Shit. You seen his Pokemon?" Marcus called back, while leaving the room to rendezvous with Olivia.
Hearing the sounds on the roof, almost as a footnote, as if he didn't want to know the answer, Marcus asked, "And uh. You got an idea who's coming to spoil our party?"

"Thanks man," Kurtis smiled, exiting the cell. "I knew I gave you my badge for a reason."
Kurtis followed the young trainer out of the room.
"You better have Kurtis, cause I think it's time to get out of here," he heard a woman yell. The voice was familiar.
"Olivia?!" Kurtis recognized his colleague. "What the-?" You're alive? You're here?!"
Olivia chuckled. "You think I would go down that easy? Here."
He barely had time to react, but he caught the belt. He wrapped it around his waist, grabbing one Pokeball. "Come on, Sophie."
The Weavile jumped from her ball, joyful to see Kurtis. He hugged the Pokemon back, and noticed Olivia's impatience.
"We still have business to take care of," she looked up at the ceiling. "I just saw a Mega Pidgeot, and if I were to bet money-"
"Lisa," Kurtis adopted a determined look.
He turned to his Weavile. "We have a score to settle."
He turned back to his friends. "We're going to the roof. Lisa is mine."
And before Olivia could protest, Kurtis dashed down the hallway, Weavile in pursuit. The door to the stairwell slammed shut behind him.

Giulia blinked. The gym leader had disappeared in front of everyone. She fought the frustration boiling beneath her skin.
"I once thought he was an honorable man," she said loud enough for the recording PokeGears.
Mew floated next to Giulia, as she looked toward the main Haven Corp building.
"Let's get back to Haven Corp. Lisa may need our help!" Giulia grabbed hold of Togekiss. She could not travel as fast as her sister's Pidgeot, but she still had to try.

Lisa patted her Pidgeot's head, as she moved toward the door on the roof of the building.
"Hopefully we can stop them before the-"
The door swung open, and Kurtis Ise appeared, a Weavile directly behind him.
"YOU!" he pointed at Lisa.
Lisa smiled. "Want to go for another ride?"
"Afraid to give me a fair battle?" Kurtis returned. His Weavile bared its claws.
"You think type advantage is all you need to win?" she was stalling as long as she could.
"Against you? Yes," the gym leader smiled back.
Lisa's Pidgeot took to the air again.
"You're not going anywhere," Lisa threatened.

"Come on, lets go get him before he does something stupid," Olivia suggested to Marcus.
She knew Kurtis' frustration with his incarceration might make him lose his cool.

"Right. Off we go- Ah. I'm getting a message on my PokeGear."
Marcus headed to the stairwell, reading the message.
What are you doing?
As he went up the stairs after Olivia, Marcus replied.
Who is this?
Then he hurried up after Kurtis. He wasn't going to let Lisa do this again.

"Actually, I plan on leaving. And you're coming with us."
Kurtis winked at the Flying-type trainer. Lisa was the longest standing member of the Elite Four, and her appetite for battle was infamous throughout the land.
"You can't actually believe in what your sister is doing," Kurtis gained a more serious tone. "Lisa, you kept the Elite Four prestigious and powerful for years. I knew you before Giulia was champion, before those crazy assholes were appointed to the Elite Four. Why would you let her do this to the league we've built? Battling is our way of life!"
Lisa was quiet for a moment, but she hardened her expression.
"You aren't strong enough to stop this," Lisa told him. "Give up now, before you get hurt!"
Kurtis shook his head. "You'll have to stop me on your own. Sophie?"
The Weavile stepped forward, flashing her claws.

Lisa was stunned at Kurtis' determination. The time in Giulia's cells had not made him any less resolute.
She remembered bringing the Ice-type trainer to Giulia, the argument that she and her sister had had in front of him. It had felt dangerous, talking about the legendaries in front of the gym leader, but her sister seemed less than bothered. Giulia was a fool to underestimate any trainer, but gym leaders especially. Her badges had made her over-confident. Lisa did not share her sister's weakness.
"I'm not going anywhere," Lisa told him. "And neither are you."
"Are you afraid?!" Kurtis seemed genuine in his inquiry. "I've never known Lisa Rossi to be afraid of anyone!"
"You don't know my sister."
"You must not remember me," Kurtis smiled.
Lisa's Pidgeot landed next to her, gaze locked on the Weavile. She knew the look in the bird's keen eyes. It was borne from the same fire that welled in her gut.
The footsteps of Kurtis' allies could be heard approaching in the stairwell behind him.
"Fine," Lisa surrendered to her passions. "If you can beat me, I'll take you where you want to go. If not, you're mine."
Kurtis nodded.
"But you should know," Lisa warned, "you can't defeat me."
"GO PENELOPE!"
The Mega Pidgeot shot past her in a flurry of feathers, angling straight for the Weavile.
Lisa has accepted Kurtis' challenge. Pidgeot and Weavile will fight!

The Mega Pidgeot screeched as it ripped toward Weavile, but the Ice-type was faster. Sophie sprung into the air, as Kurtis was knocked over by the bird's attack. He scrambled back to his feet, and Weavile landed next to him, unscathed.
"Alright, Sophie, you ready?" Kurtis looked toward his Pokemon.
The Weavile nodded, as Pidgeot turned mid-air.
"Penelope, Heat Wave!" Lisa called out.
"Sophie, Icicle Crash!"
The two Pokemon locked eyes, dashing toward each other. As the heat around Pidgeot grew, the air turned to frost around Weavile.
Pidgeot closed in on the roof, and Kurtis took a few steps away. Several icicles formed around Sophie, floating near her claws, and she leapt into the air.
The sharp icicles fell down as Pidgeot flew beneath, erupting into steam as the bird collided. Pidgeot fell to the roof, sliding across it a few meters before it un-evolved, and fell limp.
"My Weavile is faster," Kurtis smirked, as Weavile landed next to him, inspecting her claws.
Kurtis has defeated Lisa!
