"You're sure he's there?" Lisa eyed the young man carefully. He seemed eager to help the Elite Four member.
Lisa stood only a little above five feet from the ground. Her dark hair was neatly arranged in a small pixie cut, and feather shaped earrings dangled from her ears. Her sky blue eyes were striking against her olive complexion.
"I promise!" his words were filled with excitement. Lisa couldn't blame him. She had been the best mono-type trainer in the League for a time longer than even her sister had been champion.
"You've been a great help,"" Lisa smiled, signing the trainer's notebook.
The woman began her walk, briskly heading toward the cafe the young trainer had tipped her off to. Apparently that was where Kurtis was last seen. Aden had been a fool, calling the Ice-type gym leader so soon after Giulia's attack. A trace had been placed on his PokeGear well before. Giulia was cocky, but she wasn't dumb.
Lisa was at the cafe in minutes, looking from a safe distance for Kurtis. She had struck gold.
Not only was Kurtis there eating, but it looked like his group was being attended by Aden himself. This was too good to be true. Lisa watched from the distance, waiting for them to leave. She didn't want to cause a big scene. Not yet.

"She's a powerful trainer and head of a giant corporation. Of course the people are going to believe her." Aden sighed and shook his head, glancing over toward Kurtis. "Something tells me she'll keep coming after us, which means we either have to stay on the defensive or somehow turn the tables."

"I say we hunt her down. If she's going to flaunt and abuse her power, then it's about time we dethrone the bitch," growled Marcus before filling his mouth with the rest of his scrambled eggs. Eating quickly he soon spoke up again.
"It's about time we had a new Champion, innit? I'm not scared of getting hunted by the police for helping Aden -- I know how to think like a criminal and a police officer, and my Pokemon aren't weak." He looked at the others. "What about you guys?"

Roxy finally raised her head and looked Marcus right in the eyes. "You were the one who stopped that assassin? Well that means you're the one Guy gave that Noivern to. We talked a second time and he said it was to be a gift. But no worries, I already caught one. I am Roxy Salvador."
She listened to the group formulate their plan, Marcus concluding his idea with "What about you guys?"
"I think that plan is crazy. Assaulting her would be no easy task and guaranteed suicide. I can't stop you, though." Roxy dropped her head back into her folded arms.

"Roxy is right. We would have to attack Haven Corp. There's no way we could get in there."
Kurtis thought about it for a moment. "We could try searching for the Elite Four? They might know what's going on."

"All but her sister" Aden sighed. "There's no way to tell. If she's in on it this is a cover up, if she's not then I'm considered wanted. Then again I suppose that's the same with the others - for the same reason."

Schnabel looked at his watch as he continued his brisk walk to the cafe where he was supposed to meet his old pal. It was only supposed to be a quick power nap, but the grass he was resting on was so comfortable he couldn't help but oversleep.
"Come on Riley, you know how he gets when we're late." He said to the Persian gracefully keeping pace with him.
Amazingly he was only a few minutes late as he burst through the doors of the cafe. He saw Kurtis sitting at a table with a few people he didn't recognize. He let the waitress know he's need some coffee, toast, and some salmon for Riley and took the liberty of pulling up a chair next to Kurtis.
"Hey buddy. Someone finally tried to kill you? Shame they didn't succeed, eh Riley?"

"Schnabel!" Kurtis was delighted. He hadn't seen the trainer in ages, but he had been a close friend growing up.
"Yeah, it's a rough life, but I still manage to piss them off."
Kurtis quickly caught Schnabel up to the situation, explaining to him Giulia's attack on Aden, and the recent press conference.
"So now we need to figure out what we're going to do," Kurtis ended. "Any ideas?"

"Well... That sucks. I don't really know how much help I can be, but my team and I are here to do whatever we can." He munched on some toast as he worked through his thoughts. He'd stick close to his pal and try to keep him safe. Besides, what better way to explore a new region than side by side with a fella on the run?
"Yeah, we're in. But we're gonna stick close to you and hopefully see some sights while we keep you from dying. Cuz, you know, you're really good at trying to do that. Remember that time you tried to ride that Onyx? Through a lake?"

Marcus cooled his jets a bit at the council of the others. Right. Haven Corp. That meant more Pokemon than he could handle fighting.
"Ah, so you're the intended recipient. Thanks to Guy and the Noivern I was able to catch her. It was a timely surprise -- hadn't expected a new addition to my team, but he's a good bat. Well behaved, if a bit timid." Marcus was clearly fond of the Pokemon already, even if he expressed it a bit stiffly to the new aquaintence. "So you're Roxy. Nice to meet you."
He settled down a bit and let the others do the talking for now. He was a bit angry at the thought of someone catching a Mew. Taking a few sips of coffee, he watched as someone new arrived, obviously an old friend of Kurtis's. He offered a friendly smile.

"Oh, and hi, I'm Schnabel. This is Riley, watch your food when he's around, he tries to... borrow, snacks for later." Schnabel said, as he reached for a bite of Kurtis's breakfast.
He drained his coffee in two gulps and continued where he left off.
"Anyway, it's nice to meet all of you."

The new face got a nod from Aden, though the fire type leader wasn't exactly in the most optimistic of moods. What he did know, is that he was being hunted. Those at this table would likely also be hunted with him as 'accomplices.' He let out a frustrated groan and looked up toward the ceiling of the place. "This is ridiculous."

Aden was right. They were drawing stares now. Even if the people around them believed Giulia, attacking a gym leader was usually something most people shied away from, let alone two gym leaders. Still, they did need to leave, before someone was stupid enough to do it.
"Guys, we should head back to my gym to continue our conversation. I don't know that public is a great place for us anymore..."

"Right. Better to plan in there anyway. Less likely to be overheard. And easier to see if any of us are being followed" He shot a quick glance at Aden. Kurtis trusted the man, which was enough for Schnabel. Still, Aden could cause trouble, being a wanted man and all.

Lisa viewed the group from a distance. They were large in number now. Apparently Lisa was going to have to improvise.
She called out her Pidgeot, smiling as the large bird nuzzled against her. "Ready Penelope?" Lisa smiled, as the keystone on her feather earring glowed in unison with the tiara on Penelope's head.
Moments later, in a flash of feather, the Pidgeot shot toward the group of trainers. Lisa cackled as the group shouted in surprise. She knew that Kurtis had no Flying-type Pokemon.
Pidgeot grabbed hold of the gym leader by the legs, and they took off, Kurtis shouting as they ascended.
"Ironic, being so weak to someone who you should have the advantage over," Lisa mocked Kurtis, before turning her attention to a basket. It was the same one her sister had lost Aden to.
"Talonflame, burn it!" Lisa shouted, releasing another Pokemon. The basket went up in flames, as the Elite Four member flew away, Kurtis helplessly dangling from her Pokemon's talons.
